Message Important du Centre d’action bénévole Ouest-de-l’Île

Bon après-midi, 

À titre de mesure de précaution et suite aux directives du Premier ministre Francois Legault, le Centre d’action bénévole Ouest-de-l’Île prendra les démarches nécessaires pour minimiser les risques concernant le COVID-19, tant pour les utilisateurs des services que pour les bénévoles, effectifs dès 16 h 00 le vendredi 13 mars.

 On est conscient que nous devons suspendre les rassemblements où ces précautions sont clairement détaillées sur le site suivant : https://Quebec.ca/coronavirusIl y a aussi un numéro sans frais : 1-877-644-4545 que vous pouvez appeler pour plus d’information.

Comme l’unique centre d’action bénévole sur Ouest-de-l’Île et pour l’arrondissement de Lachine, nous offrons aussi plusieurs services importants pour une population vulnérable.  Pour assurer le bien-être de tous, veuillez voir les directives suivantes;

  •   Chaque coordonnatrice de cuisine organisera des contacts par téléphone avec ses clients vulnérables deux fois par semaine.

Volunteer West Island’s Decision
Regarding COVI-19

Good afternoon,

In light of the recent order from Premier Francois Legault, Volunteer West Island must act in the best interest of all its volunteers and has made the following aggressive decisions to do our part to ensure the safety of all our stakeholders, effective today at 4:00 pm.

We know that social life is being dramatically curtailed across the province and since the precautions are changing daily, we recommend that you keep informed by accessing the following website:  Quebec.ca/coronavirus or you can call 1-877-644-4545 toll free or Santé Canada   

As the only volunteer recruitment centre serving the West Island, including the Borough of Lachine, Volunteer West Island offers a number of crucial services to a vulnerable population.  It’s our duty to make sure our efforts do not compromise their health and well-being; please view the following directives;

  •   Hot meals is a very important service but not considered an emergency service 
  • All Kitchen Coordinators are requested to share the task of maintaining regular contact with all vulnerable clients twice a week.

Suspended until churches and municipal buildings re-open.

All clients are to be called every Tuesdays and Thursdays until further notice.

MOW’s volunteers, if they are willing, can help provide solutions over the phone and use a list provided to you by VWI on alternate food options.

All Kitchen Coordinators will receive a special list of options by VWI”s Food Service Coordinator on Tuesday, March 17th.
